‘Building a Lego city was a locked-in lifesaver’

A father who built a city made of toy bricks with his son said the hobby had been a lifesaver during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adam, 46, and Samuel, 16, have spent several years and thousands of pounds building the facility in their garden shed in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Most of the city has been built in the last two years and includes a theme park, plaza, and theater, with model vehicles and people on the streets.

Adam said: “It has been a lifesaver for us throughout the confinement, to be able to come in and enjoy a hobby and forget about what has been going on.”
