Paralympic in the guide dog that gave him a purpose

Paralympic champion Libby Clegg has been describing how her guide dog Hatti helped her find an identity after the 2016 Rio Games.

“After Rio, I was in a really bad place,” he said. “I had had some really successful games, I came out with two Paralympic gold medals and probably a month after coming back I realized that I no longer knew who I was as a person.

“I didn’t feel like I had an identity off the track.

“And Hatti … she really was there for me and gave me the purpose to get up in the morning.”

Ms. Clegg has written a book about her experience of having a guide dog and how Hatti has helped her over the past seven years.
