As the world slowly shifts away from using fossil fuels to generate electricity, a small Scottish island has shown that it is possible to depend almost entirely on renewable energy.
The community living on the island of Eigg was the first in the world to establish its own off-grid power system powered by wind, water and the sun.
Since its launch in 2008, they have received visitors from various other countries who want to learn more about the project.
Community Energy Malawi used its experience to install a mini solar grid in the village of Sitolo, a community that previously relied on fossil fuels and firewood.
