It has been 20 years since the Taliban were ousted from power in Afghanistan for harboring the 9/11 attackers.

What followed were two decades of bloody warfare, which finally ended with his return to Kabul.

BBC World Affairs editor John Simpson has covered every twist and turn of the conflict.

He and cameraman Joe Phua were part of the BBC crew that entered the city before the advance of Northern Alliance forces in 2001.

Twenty years later, John and Joe have taken a trip back to Kabul to see what has changed.
