JNF-KKL Reveals 4 New Specialty Fire Trucks

Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) unveiled four new advanced fire trucks at a ceremony in Nir Am, near Israel’s border with Gaza, an area heavily affected by wildfires caused by incendiary balloons in the last years.

The engines, sponsored by friends of the KKL-JNF, JNF-USA and KKL-JNF branches in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria, are specially equipped for forest terrain, which means that they can be useful during the Israel’s next forest fire. season.

The engines have off-road capabilities, including a wide range of driving modes, large water tanks, powerful water pumps, and advanced engines that can reach fast speeds and emit less pollution.

The four engines will join KKL-JNF’s 25 operational engines.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the KKL-JNF, as well as members of Kibbutz Nir Am and representatives of local municipal councils and the Israel Fire and Rescue Services.
